About the Hi-Riser Shower Stretcher
Showering and changing on one surface: the Smirthwaite Hi-Riser Shower Stretcher is a two-in-one bench that mounts to the wall and the floor. It serves children and adults, and Smirthwaite suggests it for school bathrooms, hydrotherapy rooms and pool environments.
The stretcher comes with flexible drainage tubing for a floor drain, or it can be plumbed straight into the building's system. The drainage hose detaches for thorough cleaning between uses.
The lying surface is reinforced PVC, soft against the skin yet supportive. Underneath, a stainless steel frame resists corrosion in showers and hydrotherapy centers and cleans quickly, which helps in multi-user facilities.
The table travels from 15.4 to 37.8 in and comes in lengths of 55.1 in and 70.9 in. Folded, its stored width is 11.8 in, and the maximum user weight is 331 lb. For drywall or stud walls, an additional backing board must be purchased. Custom Mobility ships it across the lower 48.

Common questions
Can I try equipment before buying?
Yes. Come to the showroom in Athens or ask for an in-home evaluation.
Will it fit in my car?
Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
Do you ship outside Georgia?
Yes. Products ship across the lower 48. Installation and service are Georgia.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?
Often, depending on the platform and whether we hold the relationship with that manufacturer. Tell us what you have.
Can I just come to the showroom?
Walk-ins are welcome in Athens, at 315 Whitehead Road. Appointments are better, because it means the right person is there when you arrive.
