About the Smirthwaite Shower Stretcher, Manual Height

Height is set by hand with an adjustment handle, across a range of 450mm to 800mm, to suit the client, the caregiver and the room. Smirthwaite's instructions say the height should not be adjusted while the user is on the stretcher. It is compact and lightweight, and suits children and adults up to a maximum user weight of 200kg. When it is not needed, the stretcher stores vertically.

The lying surface is durable non-rip vinyl on a stainless steel powder coated frame, finished with a wall mount frame cover. The codes we carry come with side guard rails. On walls, Smirthwaite's survey notes say brick or concrete is strong enough without a backing board, while a hollow or soft insulation block wall calls for one.
