About the Harmar AL835 Pickup 350 HD
The Harmar AL835 is a high-capacity truck lift for heavier mobility devices. Harmar says it can help you transport virtually any mobility device weighing up to 350 lb, loading a scooter, manual wheelchair or powerchair into your truck's bed while the hoist does the heavy lifting.
Lifting and rotation are both powered, and a dashboard-mounted on/off switch is part of the package. The dual-strapped hook is there to stop the device spinning during loading and unloading.
Harmar uses offset base mounting so the AL835 fits tightly against your truck's sidewall and fender walls. Depending on the install location, it lifts and secures the device close to the driver or passenger side. Harmar lists an installed weight of 116 lb, an arm height of 34 to 41 inches and an adjustable length of 28.75 to 46.5 inches.
A universal base adapter comes with it; the docking device used for securement does not. Battery pack, custom adapters and a wireless remote can be added.
Custom Mobility's technicians install vehicle lifts across Georgia, and our service is Georgia-based too. Call us with your truck and device and we will help you decide whether the AL835 is the right lift.

How The Work Happens
Five steps. You can stop at any of them, and nothing is charged until you have said yes to a written scope.
You tell us what is difficult
Not what product you think you need. The stairs, the front step, the bath, getting into the car. Working out the product is our job.
A call, not a sales pitchWe come out and measure
On site, at your address, free. We check the space, the power, and the structure, and we talk through how the room actually gets used.
Free, and no obligationYou get it in writing
An itemized scope and a price, with the lead time stated honestly. The price you agree to is the price of the job. Take as long as you like with it.
The price does not moveOur technicians install it
Our own people, not a subcontractor, who stay until everyone who has to operate it can operate it confidently.
Our own crewsWe service it afterward
The company that installed it is the company that maintains it. You are not handed to somebody else once the invoice clears.

Common questions
Will this work with my vehicle?
That depends on the vehicle and the equipment. We check compatibility before you order anything, which is exactly the step that goes wrong when it is skipped.
Will it fit in my car?
Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
Do I have to buy a van?
Usually not, and most people assume they do. Hand controls, a lift, or a turning seat solve a great many situations for a fraction of a conversion. Ask before you go vehicle shopping.
Will this affect my vehicle warranty?
Properly fitted equipment from established manufacturers does not generally affect it, though we would not ask you to take our word over your dealer's. We will tell you exactly what we are fitting and how.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?
Often, depending on the platform and whether we hold the relationship with that manufacturer. Tell us what you have.
