About the Harmar AL435T Tailgater

Lifting, rotating and extension are all powered, and the AL435T is rated for devices weighing up to 400 lb. The arm folds, and a universal base adapter comes included. Harmar lists this lift for passenger side installation only.

Hoist lifts generally need little to no modification to the vehicle, although Harmar notes that some drilling into the truck bed floor may be needed to bolt the lift in place. A docking device for securement is not included. A battery pack, custom adapters and a wireless remote are available.

Harmar assembles it in the USA. Custom Mobility installs vehicle lifts in Georgia with its own technicians and handles service in Georgia as well. If you are not sure the Tailgater suits your truck, ask us and we will look at it with you.

Common questions

Will this work with my vehicle?

That depends on the vehicle and the equipment. We check compatibility before you order anything, which is exactly the step that goes wrong when it is skipped.

Will it fit in my car?

Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.

Do I have to buy a van?

Usually not, and most people assume they do. Hand controls, a lift, or a turning seat solve a great many situations for a fraction of a conversion. Ask before you go vehicle shopping.

Will this affect my vehicle warranty?

Properly fitted equipment from established manufacturers does not generally affect it, though we would not ask you to take our word over your dealer's. We will tell you exactly what we are fitting and how.

Do you service what you sell?

Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
