About the Harmar AL435 3-axis Hoist Lift

Lifting, boom extension and rotation are all powered, which Harmar says makes loading your mobility device effortless. The AL435 handles manual wheelchairs, powerchairs and scooters weighing up to 400 lb. It is compatible with most SUVs, trucks and vans, and it lets you keep using your vehicle's backup camera.

You can have it installed on the passenger or driver side, and the hand control is weather-resistant. A folding arm and a universal base adapter are included. The docking device that secures your chair or scooter is not included, and Harmar offers custom docking devices as an option, along with a battery pack, custom adapters and a wireless remote.

Common questions

Will this work with my vehicle?

That depends on the vehicle and the equipment. We check compatibility before you order anything, which is exactly the step that goes wrong when it is skipped.

Will it fit in my car?

Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.

Do I have to buy a van?

Usually not, and most people assume they do. Hand controls, a lift, or a turning seat solve a great many situations for a fraction of a conversion. Ask before you go vehicle shopping.

Will this affect my vehicle warranty?

Properly fitted equipment from established manufacturers does not generally affect it, though we would not ask you to take our word over your dealer's. We will tell you exactly what we are fitting and how.

Do you service what you sell?

Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
