About the Harmar AL301XLHD Heavy-duty Extra Large Fusion Lift
Built for larger power wheelchairs and larger scooters, the Harmar AL301XLHD is the heavy-duty version of the AL301XL Fusion Hitch-Mount Lift, with a 400 lb lifting capacity.
Its 36 by 39 inch platform has an adjustable cradle that extends up to 53 inches. Four self-tensioning Q'Straint retractors work with front and rear wheel cradles to hold the device. Harmar says the cradles and retractors keep a larger mobility device safe and secure as you hit the road.
Lifting and folding are fully powered, and the scooter or chair needs no modifications. The HD calls for a Class III or greater hitch, and Harmar lists its installed weight at 102 lb. Included are the AL107 hitch post, the AL123HD class III heavy duty hitch adapter and a license plate mount. It is compatible with minivans, SUVs, trucks and vans, and a swing-away, cover, license plate riser and battery pack are available.

Common questions
Will this work with my vehicle?
That depends on the vehicle and the equipment. We check compatibility before you order anything, which is exactly the step that goes wrong when it is skipped.
Will it fit in my car?
Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
Do I have to buy a van?
Usually not, and most people assume they do. Hand controls, a lift, or a turning seat solve a great many situations for a fraction of a conversion. Ask before you go vehicle shopping.
Will this affect my vehicle warranty?
Properly fitted equipment from established manufacturers does not generally affect it, though we would not ask you to take our word over your dealer's. We will tell you exactly what we are fitting and how.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?
Often, depending on the platform and whether we hold the relationship with that manufacturer. Tell us what you have.
