About the Harmar AL010/050 Micro Outside Lift

The AL010 suits most sedans and minivans, while the AL050 also fits SUVs, trucks and vans. Harmar says the AL010 carries virtually all 3- and 4-wheel micro scooters and power chairs, and the AL050 virtually all travel scooters and micro power chairs. Both use a 25 by 33 inch platform, and the AL010 adds an adjustable rear wheel cradle that extends up to 42.25 inches.

Lifting is powered, and folding is manual for storage when not in use. Four cam buckle straps hold the device down, and no scooter or chair modifications are required. The AL107 hitch post, AL126 class II adapter and a license plate mount are included, and a swing-away is among the options.

Harmar asks you to confirm your car's compatibility with your Harmar dealer, and we confirm the fit for your vehicle and device. Custom Mobility's technicians install the lift in Georgia, and we service it in Georgia as well.

Will this work with my vehicle?

That depends on the vehicle and the equipment. We check compatibility before you order anything, which is exactly the step that goes wrong when it is skipped.

Will it fit in my car?

Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.

Do I have to buy a van?

Usually not, and most people assume they do. Hand controls, a lift, or a turning seat solve a great many situations for a fraction of a conversion. Ask before you go vehicle shopping.

Will this affect my vehicle warranty?

Properly fitted equipment from established manufacturers does not generally affect it, though we would not ask you to take our word over your dealer's. We will tell you exactly what we are fitting and how.
