About the Harmar AL001 Hitch Carrier

Its carrying capacity is up to 500 lbs, and virtually any mobility device fits on the oversized 28 by 48 inch platform, which has a 60-inch folding ramp. Your chair needs no modifications.

The AL001 is a fully manual outside carrier, and Harmar notes it is easy to store when not in use. It works with sedans, minivans, SUVs and vans, takes a Class II or III hitch, and has an installed weight of 84 lb. A cover and tie-down straps are available as options.

VEHICLE LIFT - THREE YEAR TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY
LIMITED WARRANTY CERTIFICATE
Harmar warrants to the owner of the Vehicle Lift manufactured by us to be free from defects in material, mechanical and electrical components (parts) for a period of three (3) years, provided that the products have been installed, maintained and operated properly by an Authorized Harmar Distributor or Certified Harmar Installer.
This warranty starts on the date of initial product installation (not to exceed 180 days from the date of manufacture), provided the warranty certificate is completely filled out and returned to Harmar within ten (10) days of installation.
Harmar warrants its lift product against defects in material, mechanical and electrical components (parts), excluding labor cost, batteries, paint, rust and covers, for a period of three (3) years from date of retail purchase, provided that the products have been installed, maintained and operated properly.
This warranty is transferable as long as the application is approved by Harmar's Compatibility Calculator.

Repairs and replacements under warranty are processed in coordination with the manufacturer.

Will this work with my vehicle?

That depends on the vehicle and the equipment. We check compatibility before you order anything, which is exactly the step that goes wrong when it is skipped.

Will it fit in my car?

Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.

Do I have to buy a van?

Usually not, and most people assume they do. Hand controls, a lift, or a turning seat solve a great many situations for a fraction of a conversion. Ask before you go vehicle shopping.

Will this affect my vehicle warranty?

Properly fitted equipment from established manufacturers does not generally affect it, though we would not ask you to take our word over your dealer's. We will tell you exactly what we are fitting and how.

Do you service what you sell?

Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.

Will you service equipment somebody else installed?
