About the Feather Chair 18" Lightweight Wheelchair

The Feather Chair 18" Lightweight Wheelchair answers with weight: the 18" frame alone weighs 13.5 lbs., and the overall weight with wheels is 19 lbs., not counting footrests and anti-tippers. Feather says practically everyone can lift this wheelchair into their car, truck or SUV, and calls it super easy to propel and push.
To fold it, lower the backrest and then pull up in the middle of the seat. Feather mentions optional quick-release wheels that let a caregiver remove the larger back wheels with the push of a button, and says unfolding and attaching the wheels takes less than a minute.
For the rider, wheel locks sit at the front of the frame within easy reach, and they stop the chair rolling forward or backward. For whoever is pushing, bicycle-style brake levers at the push handles give control when descending or pausing on a slope.
This model has an 18" seat width, a 16" seat depth and a 19" seat-to-floor height, with nylon upholstery in charcoal and orange trim. Feather rates it at 300 lbs. for models shipped from the manufacturer starting January 2026. Custom Mobility ships it across the lower 48.

Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
