About the Protekt Cambria Convertible Transport Chair / Wheelchair
Some days the rider pushes; some days a caregiver does. The Protekt Cambria handles both, because Proactive Medical includes two sets of rear wheels: quick release 24 in wheels for self-propelling and 8 in wheels for use as a transport chair.
Each setup has its own set of aluminum wheel locks. As a transport chair it weighs 23, 24 or 25 lbs across the 16, 18 and 20 in widths; as a wheelchair, 31.5 to 33.5 lbs. Capacity is 275 lbs on every size.
The back release folds the backrest down. Standard parts include removable desk length armrests, removable swing-away footrests with heel loops, 8 in casters, nylon upholstery and anti-tippers. Limited 3 year warranty.

Will it fit in my car?
Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
Do you ship outside Georgia?
Yes. Products ship across the lower 48. Installation and service are Georgia.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?

Can I just come to the showroom?
Walk-ins are welcome in Athens, at 315 Whitehead Road. Appointments are better, because it means the right person is there when you arrive.
