About the ComfyGO X-9 Power Wheelchair
Meet the ComfyGO X-9 power wheelchair. It has an automatic reclining backrest and automatic lifting leg rests that can work together or independently, with separate control of the backrest and the right and left leg rests.
At its full upright position the backrest sits at a 10° angle, and from there it reclines up to 55° using the joystick or the remote control. ComfyGO is clear that recline is for when the chair is stationary, never while it is moving. The reclining X-9 comes with a headrest.
Driving is handled by a weather resistant 360-degree joystick that also carries the horn, battery level display and the buttons for the backrest and leg rests. Two 250W motors, each working independently, give the chair the power to climb angles up to 6 degrees, and five speed settings run up to a limited top speed of 4 mph. Electromagnetic brakes are built into the motors. The included remote lets someone else maneuver the chair, adjust the speed or recline it from up to 30 feet away.
The frame is aircraft-grade aluminum alloy, with pneumatic 12" rear tires and 8" solid front tires, and adjustable anti-tip bars for added stability. The X-9 folds, weighs 86 lbs without the battery and supports a maximum weight of 310 lbs on its 18-inch seat. Batteries come as a 12AH or a 20AH lithium-ion pack.

Can I try equipment before buying?
Yes. Come to the showroom in Athens or ask for an in-home evaluation.
Will it fit in my car?
Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
Do you ship outside Georgia?
Yes. Products ship across the lower 48. Installation and service are Georgia.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?

Can I just come to the showroom?
Walk-ins are welcome in Athens, at 315 Whitehead Road. Appointments are better, because it means the right person is there when you arrive.
