About the ComfyGO Phoenix Power Wheelchair
The ComfyGO Phoenix power wheelchair is built on a carbon fiber frame, and ComfyGO describes it as ultra-lightweight: it needs minimal storage space and is easy to lift into the back of a vehicle. It is a foldable travel chair.
Here is what drives it. Two 250W brushless motors, each operating independently for a combined 500W, carry a maximum weight of 300 lbs, and ComfyGO says the Phoenix handles most hard-packed surfaces such as grass, dirt and gravel. Seven speed settings step up to a limited top speed of 4 mph, and intelligent electromagnetic brakes are built into the motors.
With two 10AH lithium-ion batteries, ComfyGO quotes a range of up to 23 miles. The batteries have a quick-release function, work together, and can be charged in the chair or on their own from a regular home outlet, 6 to 8 hours each, with the 24V 2A charger that comes in the box.
You steer with a 360-degree digital joystick that has an LCD display, a USB charging port and an integrated headlight for traveling at night. It is set up on the right side but can be easily moved to the left. Both armrests raise, which makes it easier to pull up close to a table, and the cushion and backrest are leather.
If the batteries run out, switch the power off and pull the motor levers to unlocked: the Phoenix then rolls in free wheel mode like a manual chair. It arrives almost fully assembled, and Custom Mobility ships it across the lower 48.

Common questions
Can I try equipment before buying?
Yes. Come to the showroom in Athens or ask for an in-home evaluation.
Will it fit in my car?
Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
Do you ship outside Georgia?
Yes. Products ship across the lower 48. Installation and service are Georgia.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?
Often, depending on the platform and whether we hold the relationship with that manufacturer. Tell us what you have.
Can I just come to the showroom?
Walk-ins are welcome in Athens, at 315 Whitehead Road. Appointments are better, because it means the right person is there when you arrive.
