About the Bruno VSL-6900 Curb-Sider with Power Telescoping Lift Head
The Bruno VSL-6900 Curb-Sider is Bruno's hoist lift with a power telescoping lift head. Connect the docking device to a scooter or powerchair, push a button, and the Curb-Sider lifts, rotates and stores the mobility device.
The telescoping head is what sets this model apart. Bruno says the VSL-6900 provides additional extension to clear bumpers and load wide mobility devices into smaller openings.
Every movement is powered: lift, lower and rotate. Vehicle-specific bases provide precise installation, and Bruno lists SUVs, vans and pickups as fitting vehicles. Except for installation in pickup truck beds, hoist lifts are installed in the vehicle's interior, which protects your mobility device from weather elements. The tradeoff, Bruno notes, is that the stowed device uses cargo and seating space.
Bruno's answer is a slim design that preserves seating and storage. Partial third-row seating or cargo space is available when a mobility device is not present, and optional quick-release pins let the lift head fold down for even greater space. It can also be reinstalled in another applicable vehicle or adjusted for a new mobility device.
Bruno offers driver-side placement and a Back-Off Device, which easily removes the back of the mobility device, alongside the quick-release pins.
The Curb-Sider is made in the USA and backed by Bruno's 3-Year Limited Warranty. Custom Mobility installs vehicle lifts in Georgia with its own technicians, and installation and service are in Georgia.

How The Work Happens
Five steps. You can stop at any of them, and nothing is charged until you have said yes to a written scope.
You tell us what is difficult
Not what product you think you need. The stairs, the front step, the bath, getting into the car. Working out the product is our job.
A call, not a sales pitchWe come out and measure
On site, at your address, free. We check the space, the power, and the structure, and we talk through how the room actually gets used.
Free, and no obligationYou get it in writing
An itemized scope and a price, with the lead time stated honestly. The price you agree to is the price of the job. Take as long as you like with it.
The price does not moveOur technicians install it
Our own people, not a subcontractor, who stay until everyone who has to operate it can operate it confidently.
Our own crewsWe service it afterward
The company that installed it is the company that maintains it. You are not handed to somebody else once the invoice clears.

Common questions
Will this work with my vehicle?
That depends on the vehicle and the equipment. We check compatibility before you order anything, which is exactly the step that goes wrong when it is skipped.
Will it fit in my car?
Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
Do I have to buy a van?
Usually not, and most people assume they do. Hand controls, a lift, or a turning seat solve a great many situations for a fraction of a conversion. Ask before you go vehicle shopping.
Will this affect my vehicle warranty?
Properly fitted equipment from established manufacturers does not generally affect it, though we would not ask you to take our word over your dealer's. We will tell you exactly what we are fitting and how.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?
Often, depending on the platform and whether we hold the relationship with that manufacturer. Tell us what you have.
