About the Bruno ASL-275L Out-Sider for Lightweight Power Wheelchairs

Here is how it works. Press a button to lower the self-leveling platform, drive the mobility device onto it, and press a button to raise the lift into place. Device-specific securements lock the scooter or powerchair in place, and a unique safety system prevents unintentional lowering of the platform.

Rear visibility matters on the road, and the Out-Sider's low-profile design and adjustable license plate holder help maintain it. When no mobility device is aboard, the platform folds automatically to streamline the lift.

The Out-Sider attaches to a vehicle's hitch, and Bruno points out that your vehicle's tongue weight rating often determines whether a specific scooter lift is suitable. If you change vehicles or mobility devices later, the Out-Sider can be reinstalled in another applicable vehicle or adjusted for the new device.

Bruno's Out-Sider options include the Swing-Away for easy cargo access, a low-profile third-brake light, a center deck and a vinyl cover.

The Out-Sider is made in the USA, and Bruno backs its scooter lifts with a 3-Year Limited Warranty. Custom Mobility installs it in Georgia with its own technicians, and installation and service are in Georgia.

Will this work with my vehicle?

That depends on the vehicle and the equipment. We check compatibility before you order anything, which is exactly the step that goes wrong when it is skipped.

Will it fit in my car?

Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.

Do I have to buy a van?

Usually not, and most people assume they do. Hand controls, a lift, or a turning seat solve a great many situations for a fraction of a conversion. Ask before you go vehicle shopping.

Will this affect my vehicle warranty?

Properly fitted equipment from established manufacturers does not generally affect it, though we would not ask you to take our word over your dealer's. We will tell you exactly what we are fitting and how.
