About the Transport Wheelchair
The Vive Transport Wheelchair is a folding transport chair for safely transporting an adult patient or loved one. It is meant to be pushed by another person, not self-propelled.
The passenger sits on a generously wide 19-inch seat with a padded backrest and armrests, and an adjustable seatbelt keeps them secure while moving. The footrests adjust for comfort and lift off when you do not need them.
Loop hand brakes lock in place by pushing them down, so the chair stays steady while someone gets in or out. Large 12-inch rear wheels add stability and make uneven surfaces easier, with 8-inch wheels up front.
Out of the box it is pre-assembled; the footrests clip on with a self-locking lever and no tools. To fold it, two push levers lower the backrest and handles, then the seat folds flat so the chair fits in most vehicles. The steel frame supports up to 300 pounds, and we carry it in black or blue. Custom Mobility ships it across the lower 48.

Yes. Come to the showroom in Athens or ask for an in-home evaluation.
Will it fit in my car?
Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
Do you ship outside Georgia?
Yes. Products ship across the lower 48. Installation and service are Georgia.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?
Often, depending on the platform and whether we hold the relationship with that manufacturer. Tell us what you have.
Can I just come to the showroom?
Walk-ins are welcome in Athens, at 315 Whitehead Road. Appointments are better, because it means the right person is there when you arrive.
