About the Harmar Pinnacle SL300

Narrow staircase? When folded, the rail mounts 1 inch from the wall and stands 3 inches tall, and the folded width is 11 inches from the wall. That helps keep it out of sight.

The drive needs no grease or lubrication, which keeps things cleaner for you, your home and your pets. It pairs a patented nylon polymer gear rack with a helical worm gear, and Harmar says the over-sized worm gear offers greater stability. If the power goes out, the batteries still give up to 60 up and down cycles.

Safety sensors in the footrest stop the lift if it meets an obstruction, and a chassis obstruction sensor is available as an option. The seat has a seat belt and an 85 degree manual seat with interlock. Other options include a retractable seat belt, an automatic folding rail, a key lock and a manual lowering tool.

Common questions

How long does installation take?

A straight stairlift is two to four hours, in a single visit. A curved rail is manufactured to your staircase, which takes three to five weeks, and then one day to install once it arrives. Anybody promising you a curved lift next week is describing a straight one.

Straight or curved, and why does it matter?

A straight flight takes a rail cut from stock, installed in two to four hours in one visit. Any turn or landing needs a rail manufactured to your staircase: three to five weeks to build, then one day to fit.

Will it damage my staircase?

The rail fastens to the treads rather than the wall. Fasteners leave small holes that fill easily if the lift is ever removed, and the staircase is still fully usable on foot with the lift parked.

Is there still room to walk up the stairs?

Yes. The seat, footrest, and arms fold up when the lift is parked, and we park it at the end of the run that suits the household.

Does it work in a power outage?

The units we install run on batteries that charge at the parking points, so the lift keeps working through an outage.

Do you service what you sell?

Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
