About the Harmar SL350AC Straight Stairlift
The Harmar SL350AC is an indoor AC straight stairlift: it operates on standard 115V AC household current. Its carriage comes pre-installed on a section of durable extruded aluminum track, and the track is available in custom lengths.
It mounts to the stairs, not the wall, on either side of the staircase. The backrest offers three settings, the fold-up footrest adjusts to two different heights, and the spacious, wide seat has thick padding. When it is not in use, the seat and footrest fold to save space.
Rocker controls work on constant pressure, so the lift stops immediately if the control is released. Separate controls sit at the top and bottom of the stairs. Harmar lists a capacity of 350 lb on tracks up to 15'9" and 250 lb on tracks from 15'10" to 25'.
The SL350AC uses a cable drive, with a slack cable brake with switch, final limits, a swivel seat cut-off switch and a footrest obstruction switch among its safety features. It is not rated for outdoor use. Options include a grocery basket, a key lock, extra rail and flip up armrests.

How The Work Happens
Five steps. You can stop at any of them, and nothing is charged until you have said yes to a written scope.
You tell us what is difficult
Not what product you think you need. The stairs, the front step, the bath, getting into the car. Working out the product is our job.
A call, not a sales pitchWe come out and measure
On site, at your address, free. We check the space, the power, and the structure, and we talk through how the room actually gets used.
Free, and no obligationYou get it in writing
An itemized scope and a price, with the lead time stated honestly. The price you agree to is the price of the job. Take as long as you like with it.
The price does not moveOur technicians install it
Our own people, not a subcontractor, who stay until everyone who has to operate it can operate it confidently.
Our own crewsWe service it afterward
The company that installed it is the company that maintains it. You are not handed to somebody else once the invoice clears.

Common questions
How long does installation take?
A straight stairlift is two to four hours, in a single visit. A curved rail is manufactured to your staircase, which takes three to five weeks, and then one day to install once it arrives. Anybody promising you a curved lift next week is describing a straight one.
Straight or curved, and why does it matter?
A straight flight takes a rail cut from stock, installed in two to four hours in one visit. Any turn or landing needs a rail manufactured to your staircase: three to five weeks to build, then one day to fit.
Will it damage my staircase?
The rail fastens to the treads rather than the wall. Fasteners leave small holes that fill easily if the lift is ever removed, and the staircase is still fully usable on foot with the lift parked.
Is there still room to walk up the stairs?
Yes. The seat, footrest, and arms fold up when the lift is parked, and we park it at the end of the run that suits the household.
Does it work in a power outage?
The units we install run on batteries that charge at the parking points, so the lift keeps working through an outage.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Where do you install and service?
Installation and service are in Georgia, from our base in Athens. Our technicians are mobile and come to your home, facility, or fleet yard.
