About the Bruno Outdoor Elite SRE-2010E

Bruno designed it to withstand varying climates, with weather-resistant seat materials, a light-weight cover and an anodized aluminum rail. It is built with marine-grade components engineered to handle harsh conditions, and Bruno lists it as designed for 0°F – 125°F.

The gear rack is covered, and obstruction sensors are among the highlights Bruno lists along with low maintenance and easy use. On Bruno stairlifts, the up/down controls stop the lift when released and the obstruction sensors on the carriage and footrest stop it if engaged.

The outdoor Elite has a 400 lb lift capacity, and a larger seat and larger footrest are available. Bruno says its outdoor models can accommodate extra-long staircases.

It is made in the USA and carries Bruno's 5-Year Limited Warranty, which covers the primary components for the original purchaser when a Bruno dealer installs it.

Common questions

How long does installation take?

A straight stairlift is two to four hours, in a single visit. A curved rail is manufactured to your staircase, which takes three to five weeks, and then one day to install once it arrives. Anybody promising you a curved lift next week is describing a straight one.

Straight or curved, and why does it matter?

A straight flight takes a rail cut from stock, installed in two to four hours in one visit. Any turn or landing needs a rail manufactured to your staircase: three to five weeks to build, then one day to fit.

Will it damage my staircase?

The rail fastens to the treads rather than the wall. Fasteners leave small holes that fill easily if the lift is ever removed, and the staircase is still fully usable on foot with the lift parked.

Is there still room to walk up the stairs?

Yes. The seat, footrest, and arms fold up when the lift is parked, and we park it at the end of the run that suits the household.

Does it work in a power outage?

The units we install run on batteries that charge at the parking points, so the lift keeps working through an outage.

Do you service what you sell?

Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
