About the Harmar Pinnacle (Heavy Duty) SL600HD
The Harmar Pinnacle SL600HD is a heavy-duty straight stairlift with a lifting capacity of up to 600 lbs. The high-backed, extra wide chair, stationary armrests and reinforced footrest offer stability for the ride and for transfers.
At the upper landing the seat swivels 85 degrees for an easy dismount or transfer, and an interlock is part of its safety features. The operating control is in the armrest, and the retractable seat belt lets you buckle up for every trip. The upholstered seat is plush.
Underneath is Harmar's patented helical worm gear drive system for a smooth and quiet ride, running on a nylon polymer gear rack. During a power outage the batteries still provide up to 60 up and down cycles. Safety features include a centrifugal overspeed brake, a motor brake, a lockable battery and breaker switch, and obstruction sensors in the footrest and chassis.
Track runs from 15'6" to 40', inclines are 27° to 48°, and Harmar rates the SL600HD for commercial and residential use, though not for outdoor use. A key lock, extra rail and a manual lowering tool are available.

How The Work Happens
Five steps. You can stop at any of them, and nothing is charged until you have said yes to a written scope.
You tell us what is difficult
Not what product you think you need. The stairs, the front step, the bath, getting into the car. Working out the product is our job.
A call, not a sales pitchWe come out and measure
On site, at your address, free. We check the space, the power, and the structure, and we talk through how the room actually gets used.
Free, and no obligationYou get it in writing
An itemized scope and a price, with the lead time stated honestly. The price you agree to is the price of the job. Take as long as you like with it.
The price does not moveOur technicians install it
Our own people, not a subcontractor, who stay until everyone who has to operate it can operate it confidently.
Our own crewsWe service it afterward
The company that installed it is the company that maintains it. You are not handed to somebody else once the invoice clears.

Common questions
How long does installation take?
A straight stairlift is two to four hours, in a single visit. A curved rail is manufactured to your staircase, which takes three to five weeks, and then one day to install once it arrives. Anybody promising you a curved lift next week is describing a straight one.
Straight or curved, and why does it matter?
A straight flight takes a rail cut from stock, installed in two to four hours in one visit. Any turn or landing needs a rail manufactured to your staircase: three to five weeks to build, then one day to fit.
Will it damage my staircase?
The rail fastens to the treads rather than the wall. Fasteners leave small holes that fill easily if the lift is ever removed, and the staircase is still fully usable on foot with the lift parked.
Is there still room to walk up the stairs?
Yes. The seat, footrest, and arms fold up when the lift is parked, and we park it at the end of the run that suits the household.
Does it work in a power outage?
The units we install run on batteries that charge at the parking points, so the lift keeps working through an outage.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Where do you install and service?
Installation and service are in Georgia, from our base in Athens. Our technicians are mobile and come to your home, facility, or fleet yard.
