About the Buddy Size 1

The frame is very slimline, so it can be used in schools, letting a child join in activities without feeling isolated from friends. The chest and pelvic bands adjust for height and width, the knee supports and sandals adjust for angle, and the tray is removable. It comes complete with tray, chest band, pelvic band, knee supports and sandals, supplied fully assembled. Smirthwaite notes that the straps and tray come only in lime.

On size 1 the thoracic support sits 18.9 to 24.4 in above the foot board. Smirthwaite gives a user weight limit of 88.2 lb, and the stander itself weighs 30.9 lb. Before a child is transferred in, all four caster brakes should be locked, and the user should never be left unattended.

Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
