About the Bruno Elan SRE-5000
The Bruno Elan SRE-5000 is a straight indoor stairlift that Bruno describes as a mix of stylish design, high-quality functionality and easy operation. Bruno calls it a well-rounded entry-level stairlift, coming with standard features often reserved for higher-end models.
Its narrow vertical rail design leaves plenty of open space on the steps for family members who still walk them. Standard equipment includes a 90° easy-turn seat, wireless remotes, single-button operation and obstruction safety sensors.
The Elan supports a 300 lb lift capacity. If the rider needs more, the Bruno Elite stairlift series supports 400 lbs. The Elan can grow with your needs as well: Bruno offers a power swivel, a power footrest and a folding rail for it, and says the ability to add power options helps make the Elan a fit in many homes.
Made in USA, the Elan carries a Bruno limited lifetime warranty on the motor, gearbox, drivetrain and static rail for as long as the original purchaser owns it. All other parts are covered for two years from the date a Bruno Authorized Dealer installs it, and the warranty start date should be no later than 14 months after the stairlift ships from the factory.
In Georgia, Custom Mobility installs the Elan with its own technicians, and installation and service stay in Georgia. Tell us about your staircase and we can talk through whether the Elan suits it.

How The Work Happens
Five steps. You can stop at any of them, and nothing is charged until you have said yes to a written scope.
You tell us what is difficult
Not what product you think you need. The stairs, the front step, the bath, getting into the car. Working out the product is our job.
A call, not a sales pitchWe come out and measure
On site, at your address, free. We check the space, the power, and the structure, and we talk through how the room actually gets used.
Free, and no obligationYou get it in writing
An itemized scope and a price, with the lead time stated honestly. The price you agree to is the price of the job. Take as long as you like with it.
The price does not moveOur technicians install it
Our own people, not a subcontractor, who stay until everyone who has to operate it can operate it confidently.
Our own crewsWe service it afterward
The company that installed it is the company that maintains it. You are not handed to somebody else once the invoice clears.

Common questions
How long does installation take?
A straight stairlift is two to four hours, in a single visit. A curved rail is manufactured to your staircase, which takes three to five weeks, and then one day to install once it arrives. Anybody promising you a curved lift next week is describing a straight one.
Straight or curved, and why does it matter?
A straight flight takes a rail cut from stock, installed in two to four hours in one visit. Any turn or landing needs a rail manufactured to your staircase: three to five weeks to build, then one day to fit.
Will it damage my staircase?
The rail fastens to the treads rather than the wall. Fasteners leave small holes that fill easily if the lift is ever removed, and the staircase is still fully usable on foot with the lift parked.
Is there still room to walk up the stairs?
Yes. The seat, footrest, and arms fold up when the lift is parked, and we park it at the end of the run that suits the household.
Does it work in a power outage?
The units we install run on batteries that charge at the parking points, so the lift keeps working through an outage.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Where do you install and service?
Installation and service are in Georgia, from our base in Athens. Our technicians are mobile and come to your home, facility, or fleet yard.
