About the Transfer Bench
The Vive Transfer Bench lets you sit down outside the tub and slide across into the bathing area, keeping your weight supported throughout the transfer. Once you are across, you can bathe in comfort while seated.
Suction cup feet lock onto the tub floor from inside while non-slip rubber caps keep the outer legs grounded on the bathroom floor. The textured seat drains water through built-in holes, so you are not sitting in a puddle.
The seat back and armrest are reversible, so the bench can be set up for either side, and the leg height adjusts to suit almost any tub. The lightweight aluminum frame is corrosion-resistant and holds up to 400 pounds.
It arrives semi-assembled, and Vive puts assembly at about 10 minutes with a Phillips head screwdriver. Most shower curtains will not fit around the bench and stay in the tub, so Vive suggests a handheld showerhead.

Can you help make bathing safe?
Yes. Shower benches and chairs for someone who can transfer, and shower trolleys or stretchers where lying down is the only safe option, along with grab bars and barrier-free access.
Can you install grab bars in a tiled bathroom?
Yes. The bar is the easy part; finding something solid behind the tile is the work. A bar fixed into plaster holds until the moment somebody needs it.
Can I try equipment before buying?
