About the Stand Alone Toilet Rail

Vive designed it to prevent slips and falls when getting on or off a toilet. The aluminum frame holds up to 300 pounds, resists corrosion and, in Vive’s words, doesn’t wobble. Padded foam handrails are easy to grasp on both sides, and Vive recommends using both sides at once for complete security.

The rail is 26.5 inches long, 19 inches deep and 25.5 inches high, with 21 inches of space inside the handrails. The height is fixed, and the bottom support rails tuck up against the front of the toilet so they do not get in the way of your footing. It snaps together without tools, and a removable magazine holder hangs on one of the handrails. The foam padding contains no latex.

Common questions

Can you help make bathing safe?

Yes. Shower benches and chairs for someone who can transfer, and shower trolleys or stretchers where lying down is the only safe option, along with grab bars and barrier-free access.

Can you install grab bars in a tiled bathroom?

Yes. The bar is the easy part; finding something solid behind the tile is the work. A bar fixed into plaster holds until the moment somebody needs it.

Can I try equipment before buying?

Yes. Come to the showroom in Athens or ask for an in-home evaluation.

Do you ship outside Georgia?

Yes. Products ship across the lower 48. Installation and service are Georgia.
