About the Proactive Basic Chair/Bed Alarm
Made for caregivers who need to know when someone has left a chair or bed, Proactive's Basic Chair/Bed Alarm sounds when weight lifts off the pressure pad.
Auto-reset is the feature Proactive leads with: when pressure comes back onto the pad, or the seatbelt is re-attached, the alarm silences itself. Proactive says this cuts down on false alarms. Volume has a low and a high setting, and the alarm is always in the on position.
Most companies' bed and chair sensor pads work with it, as do buckle and hook-and-loop seatbelt sensor attachments. The mounting bracket fits practically all wheelchairs and beds. Power comes from one 9V battery, which is included, and the warranty is 1 year.

Common questions
Can I try equipment before buying?
Yes. Come to the showroom in Athens or ask for an in-home evaluation.
Will it fit in my car?
Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
Do you ship outside Georgia?
Yes. Products ship across the lower 48. Installation and service are Georgia.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?
Often, depending on the platform and whether we hold the relationship with that manufacturer. Tell us what you have.
Can I just come to the showroom?
Walk-ins are welcome in Athens, at 315 Whitehead Road. Appointments are better, because it means the right person is there when you arrive.
