What sets the Pride Jazzy Carbon 27X apart is its X-frame design: this power wheelchair folds vertically into a compact bundle that is easy to lift, store and transport. Folded flat in its vertical position, it measures 34" L x 12" W x 30" H.
The frame is carbon fiber, and the chair weighs about 27.5 lbs. without the battery. It is rated for riders up to 275 lbs., with a top speed of up to 3.7 mph and a battery range of up to 8 miles.
Then there are the details. The carbon fiber arms flip up, the back handles collapse, and the footrests adjust. There is a storage pocket in the seat back, a carbon fiber storage piece with a cup holder, a cushion and an adjustable lap belt, and a programmable quick-disconnect joystick.
Pride lists the 10 Ah lithium battery as airline-compliant; taking it on a commercial aircraft is subject to federal regulations and airline policy, so check with your airline first. Pride offers the Carbon 27X in black, and Custom Mobility ships it across the lower 48.

Can I try equipment before buying?
Yes. Come to the showroom in Athens or ask for an in-home evaluation.
Will it fit in my car?
Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
Do you ship outside Georgia?
Yes. Products ship across the lower 48. Installation and service are Georgia.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?
Often, depending on the platform and whether we hold the relationship with that manufacturer. Tell us what you have.
Can I just come to the showroom?
Walk-ins are welcome in Athens, at 315 Whitehead Road. Appointments are better, because it means the right person is there when you arrive.
