Corner Chair

$697.42

The Smirthwaite Corner Chair is a floor sitter for young children, from 8 months old, who are developing early sitting balance. During floor play, a child learning to sit can easily fall backward or sideways when overstretching or losing concentration, so the chair supports the back and sides to keep them secure and upright.

About the Corner Chair

An integrated front pommel keeps the legs abducted, encouraging a stable, symmetrical posture. The back, side angle, side pads, headrest and pommel all adjust to the child's postural needs as they develop. Supported at floor level, children can interact with peers, reach for toys and join in group activities.

Use it directly on the floor, or pair it with Smirthwaite's compatible ladder frame to raise it off the ground. Smirthwaite's extras for it include a corner chair tray table and a four point harness. The chair arrives without its batten feet attached.

All three sizes listed here carry a 187 lb maximum user weight; sizes 1 and 2 are 15.7 in wide and size 3 is 17.7 in wide. Custom Mobility ships it across the lower 48. Smirthwaite warrants it against defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years from the date of delivery. Need help picking a size? Call us.

Common questions

Can I try equipment before buying?

Yes. Come to the showroom in Athens or ask for an in-home evaluation.

Will it fit in my car?

Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.

Do you ship outside Georgia?

Yes. Products ship across the lower 48. Installation and service are Georgia.

Do you service what you sell?

Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.

Will you service equipment somebody else installed?

Often, depending on the platform and whether we hold the relationship with that manufacturer. Tell us what you have.

Can I just come to the showroom?

Walk-ins are welcome in Athens, at 315 Whitehead Road. Appointments are better, because it means the right person is there when you arrive.
