About the BuzzAbout
Designed for travel and built for everyday use, the Golden BuzzAbout power wheelchair adds motion-sensing LED lights on the footplate and rear handle that switch on with joystick movement, for added safety and visibility.
It comes apart quickly into four pieces. By Golden's figures the front half weighs 29 lbs, the rear half 33 lbs, the seat with arms 34 lbs and the batteries 28 lbs. Batteries can be charged off the chair.
You sit on a high-back stadium seat with quilted diamond stitching, with a Captain's seat available as an upgrade. Seat height has three positions in 1-inch steps, and the footrest angle adjusts. The tires are flat-free and non-marking.
Golden promises maneuverability indoors or out, with a 28.5-inch turning radius. Range is up to 11 miles on 22 AH batteries, top speed is 4 mph, and the chair carries up to 300 lbs.

Yes. Come to the showroom in Athens or ask for an in-home evaluation.
Will it fit in my car?
Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
Do you ship outside Georgia?
Yes. Products ship across the lower 48. Installation and service are Georgia.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?
Often, depending on the platform and whether we hold the relationship with that manufacturer. Tell us what you have.
Can I just come to the showroom?
Walk-ins are welcome in Athens, at 315 Whitehead Road. Appointments are better, because it means the right person is there when you arrive.
