About the Ally
The Golden Ally combines the strength of a traditional power wheelchair with foldable lightweight portability. Golden designed it to give the solid feel of a traditional chair while staying light and portable enough to be a travel partner.
Its tight turning radius makes indoor navigation easy, while large pneumatic rear drive wheels ensure a smooth outdoor ride. Golden puts the turning radius at 28.5 inches, and the chair folds easily for compact storage.
Then there is the phone in your pocket. With the Smart Control Mobile App, the Ally can be driven by remote from your phone, or with an optional wireless remote. You also get system monitoring voice alerts and A and C USB ports.
On the comfort side, the Ally has a removable memory foam seat cushion, leather-stitched flip-up armrests, spacious leg and foot room and a footrest that adjusts for height and angle.
The airline-friendly lithium-ion battery weighs 5 lbs, and the assembled chair weighs 56 lbs. Range is up to 9 miles, and the weight capacity is 330 lbs. A waterproof backpack, front and rear lighting and an easy-to-reach storage compartment complete it. Custom Mobility ships the Ally across the lower 48.

Can I try equipment before buying?
Yes. Come to the showroom in Athens or ask for an in-home evaluation.
Will it fit in my car?
Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
Do you ship outside Georgia?
Yes. Products ship across the lower 48. Installation and service are Georgia.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?
Often, depending on the platform and whether we hold the relationship with that manufacturer. Tell us what you have.
Can I just come to the showroom?
Walk-ins are welcome in Athens, at 315 Whitehead Road. Appointments are better, because it means the right person is there when you arrive.
