About the Protekt Aire 8000 Bariatric Low Air Loss Alternating Pressure Mattress System
Wider beds and higher weights call for a mattress system sized for them. The Protekt Aire 8000 comes 42, 48, 54 or 60 in wide, every size 80 in long and 10 in deep, with a 750 lb weight capacity.
Inside are 10 in Nylon/PU air cells arranged cell-on-cell. The pump moves 18 liters per minute, runs low air loss and alternating pressure, and lets you set 10, 15, 20 or 25 minute cycles. When the person sits up, seat inflate adds 20% more air to the middle bladders. A lock out key keeps settings and the power switch from being changed.
Static mode, a low pressure alarm, a CPR pull tab and a quilted fluid resistant nylon cover round it out. Foam raised rails are listed for the 42 in size.
