About the Protekt Aire 5000DX Low Air Loss Alternating Pressure Mattress System
Need one pump that handles both low air loss and alternating pressure? The Protekt Aire 5000DX does both, adds a static mode for moving someone on or off the bed, and runs a preset 10 minute alternating cycle.
Under the 5 in air mattress is a 3 in densified fiber base, which Proactive includes as a support base in case of power failure. The digital pump uses LED weight settings to match airflow to the person, and its compressor sleeps once the set pressure is reached. A low pressure alarm both sounds and lights up.
The system measures 36 x 80 x 8 in and is rated to 400 lbs. A version with foam raised rails marks the mattress edges. The quilted nylon cover is fluid resistant and has 18 laser holes.
