About the Protekt 500 Gel Infused Foam Pressure Redistribution Mattress
Gel infused foam throughout the top, a heel section angled at 30 degrees and firm rail edges: the Protekt 500 brings Proactive's VGPT foam to a full mattress.
VGPT, short for Visco Gel Polymer Technology, is described by Proactive as moving heat away faster than traditional foam. The PTSS Rail System supports the edges for transfers and for sitting on the side of the bed. The top cover is stretch nylon and fluid resistant, the bottom is triple laminate vinyl, and the fire sleeve meets Federal Fire Code 16 CFR part 1633.
Capacity is 500 lbs. Pick 36 in wide at 76, 80 or 84 in long, a 9 in Plus model with 3 in raised rails, or a 42 or 48 in width. Proactive warrants the core for 15 years and the cover for 2.
