About the Protekt 1st Defense Dynamic Hybrid Mattress System

Proactive presents the Protekt 1st Defense as an alternative to a standard alternating pressure mattress. It is a hybrid: air cells driven by a pump, with a foam insert on top.

That insert, 36 x 80 x 2 in, is high density resilient foam that tapers from 2 in to 1 in where the heels rest, held in its own pocket in the cover. The pump alternates every 10 minutes and adds low air loss; a dial adjusts air flow, and a static mode gives a firm surface for egress and ingress.

The full mattress measures 36 x 80 x 7 in with a waterproof, vapor permeable nylon cover. It supports 350 lbs. Foam raised side rails are optional.
