The Heavy Duty Wheelchair by Vive Health is constructed using a powerful, lightweight steel frame that only weighs 45 pounds; this heavy duty wheelchair folds for easy storage and transport. This makes it easy for travel, for hospital discharges, or everyday mobility and storage requirements.
The extra-wide wheelchair has a comfortable, roomy 20-inch-wide seat. Very accommodating; excellent for relaxing for extended periods of time. Adjustable swing-away foot rests provide easy transfer, personalized positioning and even more comfort during prolonged use, with added comfort. Padded armrests improve comfort even further during prolonged use.
The hand brakes let the user control the speed and are useful for going up and down slopes. Most people need to keep the doors about 30 inches wide for the wheelchair to go through the doors and to keep the movement between floors and rooms free. If someone supports a heavy body, aids in their movement, or helps someone who has mobility issues, they will find this wheelchair as comfortable as a chair.
