About the Harmar AL560XL Automatic Extra Large Universal Power Wheelchair Lift

Platform wheel cradles adjust to give a snug, custom fit, and the XL has the larger platform of the series: 30.75 by 38.5 inches, against 26.25 by 38.5 inches on the AL560, both adjustable. Harmar rates it to lift and transport a variety of rear, mid and front wheel drive powerchairs up to 350 lbs, with fully powered lifting and folding.

The AL560XL is a hitch-mounted lift for a Class III or greater hitch. It arrives with the AL123HD class III heavy duty hitch adapter, the AL107 hitch post and a license plate mount, and its installed weight is 101 lb. It is compatible with minivans, SUVs, trucks and vans. Options include a battery pack, a cover and a swing-away, and Harmar asks you to confirm your car's compatibility with your dealer.

Will this work with my vehicle?

That depends on the vehicle and the equipment. We check compatibility before you order anything, which is exactly the step that goes wrong when it is skipped.

Will it fit in my car?

Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.

Do I have to buy a van?

Usually not, and most people assume they do. Hand controls, a lift, or a turning seat solve a great many situations for a fraction of a conversion. Ask before you go vehicle shopping.

Will this affect my vehicle warranty?

Properly fitted equipment from established manufacturers does not generally affect it, though we would not ask you to take our word over your dealer's. We will tell you exactly what we are fitting and how.

Do you service what you sell?
