About the Golden Buzzaround CarryOn Travel Scooter

Next, packing up. It disassembles into two pieces and is designed to store in small compartments. The heaviest piece is 47.5 lbs without the seat and batteries, and the folded height is only 12 inches. Four-point carry handles help with transport, and a kickstand lets it stand up in a small storage space.

Power comes from an easy-access, airline-friendly 12.5 AH lithium-ion battery pack. Golden rates the range at 14.4 miles on the 12.5 AH battery, with a top speed of 3.6 mph.

Small comforts are built in: flip-up armrests, front and rear lighting, front and rear baskets, a clip cane holder, an infinitely adjustable tiller, a USB port and a drink holder. It carries up to 300 lbs and has 4 inches of ground clearance under the deck.

Custom Mobility ships the CarryOn across the lower 48. Not sure whether a travel scooter or a full-size model suits you better? Call us and we will talk it through.

Common questions

Can I try equipment before buying?

Yes. Come to the showroom in Athens or ask for an in-home evaluation.

Will it fit in my car?

Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.

Do you ship outside Georgia?

Yes. Products ship across the lower 48. Installation and service are Georgia.

Do you service what you sell?

Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.

Will you service equipment somebody else installed?

Often, depending on the platform and whether we hold the relationship with that manufacturer. Tell us what you have.

Can I just come to the showroom?

Walk-ins are welcome in Athens, at 315 Whitehead Road. Appointments are better, because it means the right person is there when you arrive.
