About the Golden Buzzaround CarryOn HD Travel Scooter
Golden built the Buzzaround CarryOn HD travel scooter as a lightweight heavy-duty travel scooter built to support up to 400 lbs.
Its compact fold-flat design is less than 14" high when folded, for storage in cars, closets or tight spaces. The heaviest piece is 52.5 lbs. without the seat and battery, the seat with arms is 20 lbs and each battery is 5 lbs. A kickstand with a rear basket allows vertical storage and serves as a spare battery holder.
Golden describes it as airline-friendly, with removable lithium-ion batteries that can be taken on planes, trains or cruises. Golden lists 14.2 miles on the 12.5 AH battery, 7.4 miles on the 6.5 AH battery and 21.6 miles combined.
A brushless motor gives smooth, efficient performance, with a top speed of 4.29 mph. Large wheels and high ground clearance give stability on varied terrain, and the full-sized stadium-style seat has adjustable armrests and ample legroom. USB charging ports (A and C), a cane holder, a cup holder and a front storage basket cover the small things, and front and rear LED lights and an LED battery indicator help you see and be seen.
The blacked-out style takes interchangeable color shrouds. Custom Mobility ships the CarryOn HD across the lower 48.

Common questions
Can I try equipment before buying?
Yes. Come to the showroom in Athens or ask for an in-home evaluation.
Will it fit in my car?
Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
Do you ship outside Georgia?
Yes. Products ship across the lower 48. Installation and service are Georgia.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?
Often, depending on the platform and whether we hold the relationship with that manufacturer. Tell us what you have.
Can I just come to the showroom?
Walk-ins are welcome in Athens, at 315 Whitehead Road. Appointments are better, because it means the right person is there when you arrive.
