About the Feather Power Scooter
The Feather Power Scooter, which Feather Mobility lists as the Feather Scooter, is a 4-wheel mobility scooter that weighs 37 lbs. without its batteries. Feather says practically everyone can lift it into a car, truck or SUV, and that its small footprint makes it very easy to maneuver.
Here is how it folds. Pull out the fold knob while you lower the seatback, then loosen the tiller adjuster knob and lower the tiller so its handles rest between the chassis. Folded, it can be pulled along on its rear tip wheels, and Feather says unfolding at your destination takes less than a minute.
Once it is unfolded, the scooter carries up to 265 lbs., reaches a 5 mph maximum speed and has a driving range of 7.5 miles. It has a bright headlight, and the removable lithium battery is rated 25.2V 10Ah. For flights, Feather describes that battery as airline compliant and asks you to check each carrier for its guidelines. Feather rates its maximum climbing angle at 8 degrees.

Common questions
Can I try equipment before buying?
Yes. Come to the showroom in Athens or ask for an in-home evaluation.
Will it fit in my car?
Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
Do you ship outside Georgia?
Yes. Products ship across the lower 48. Installation and service are Georgia.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?
Often, depending on the platform and whether we hold the relationship with that manufacturer. Tell us what you have.
Can I just come to the showroom?
Walk-ins are welcome in Athens, at 315 Whitehead Road. Appointments are better, because it means the right person is there when you arrive.
