About the Buzzaround EX 4-Wheel
Golden designed the Buzzaround EX 4-Wheel mobility scooter around a simple promise: the portability and easy disassembly of a lightweight scooter with the benefits of a full-size scooter.
It is rated for 350 lbs. and travels up to 18 miles per charge on two U1 batteries, with a maximum speed of 5 mph. It is 44" long and 22" wide, and on the 4-wheel frame the turning radius is 54". Comfort spring suspension and 4" of ground clearance are part of the package.
Taking it apart gives you a 53 lb front half, a 36 lb rear half and a 23 lb seat; the heaviest piece is 53 lbs.
The options are where this model gets practical. A Battery Docking Station charges the U1 batteries off the scooter, which is handy when visiting family or friends, or at a vacation destination. A Y cable charging harness connects from the electrical outlet to each battery box, and a bumper conversion kit allows easy vertical storage and can be pre-installed on the GB148. Ask us about any of them when you order.
Ultrabright LED headlight and taillight and a cell phone holder come with it, and the 18" x 16" high back seat can be swapped for a 20" x 18" stadium-style seat. Custom Mobility ships it across the lower 48.

Can I try equipment before buying?
Yes. Come to the showroom in Athens or ask for an in-home evaluation.
Will it fit in my car?
Ask this at the start rather than after delivery. Folding and travel models go in a trunk. A full-size chair needs a vehicle lift or a conversion, and we do those too.
Do you ship outside Georgia?
Yes. Products ship across the lower 48. Installation and service are Georgia.
Do you service what you sell?
Yes, with our own technicians. The person who comes back is from the same company as the person who installed it.
Will you service equipment somebody else installed?
Often, depending on the platform and whether we hold the relationship with that manufacturer. Tell us what you have.
Can I just come to the showroom?
Walk-ins are welcome in Athens, at 315 Whitehead Road. Appointments are better, because it means the right person is there when you arrive.
