Pavo by the numbers
The Census Bureau's American Community Survey (5-year estimates, 2020-2024) gives these figures. Residents aged 65 and over make up about 19.4% of the population. Detached single-family houses account for about 73.7% of housing units. Half of the homes in Pavo were built in 1964 or earlier (median year built). About 19.8% of residents are counted as having a disability.
If your home has steps up to the door or a staircase between floors, a modular ramp, a vertical platform lift or a stairlift can make it easier to use.

Which Part Of The House Is The Problem In Pavo?
Point at a room.
The front door
Steps up to the door, a threshold that catches a wheel, a door too heavy to hold open.
The stairs
The bedroom and the proper bathroom are upstairs, and the stairs have become a decision several times a day.
The bathroom
Getting in and out of the bath or shower, and standing up again. Most falls at home happen in this room.
Moving around inside
Getting out of a chair without help, and getting from room to room without holding the furniture.
Getting in the car
The chair will not go in the trunk, or getting into the seat has become the hard part of every trip.
