For emergencies, an external lockable keyed switch lowers the platform by means of a separate battery located inside the electrical enclosure.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAdjustable upper and lower limit switches and an upper final limit switch are part of the design. Optional gates use Bruno interlocks: the top landing gate releases only when the platform is at the upper landing, and electronic sensors stop the platform unless the door is closed.
